Once you have more than about five duke-level vassals, diplomacy is far and away the best option. On the other hand if you're a Vassal, then you'd probably want some Intrigue. Depends where you're at, Martial can be good but when you're Empire-sized it doesn't really matter as much anymroe and Diplomacy and Stewardship are a lot more important. They all have their uses, though martial seems the most potent. It just depends on what's going on I guess. I prefer it in the beginning so that I can have larger levies than anyone else around me. The stability of my kingdom even during sucession is just awsome. But lately Ive just fallen in love with the diplomacy skill. I used to focus alot on martial and stewardship.
